Normally a photo session lasts about an hour, often longer. It just depends on how things are going. Some children take longer than others to warm up. Almost all children and babies let us know when we are finished. We have a saying here that "we work on baby time." That means we will do what it takes to get the best photos we can.

What should you wear?

That really depends on you. We prefer to have a short consultation with you about what type photos you want. Will they be dress-up formal, outdoor casual or something else? What will you do with these photos? Will one hang over your sofa or is this part of a growing up series of your children? Let's talk about this before you come in.

How long before we get to see the photos?

Usually about a week. We will schedule a time for your viewing and selection at your photo session.

What happens at the viewing and selection time?

The viewing and selection session is designed to give you the best look at you images possible. The viewing is done at our studio on a large, high definition screen. Normally we will show you a short slideshow of the images then go through them one-by-one and help you make you selections.

Before you come in please have in mind how you will be using the photos. Do you want something large for your walls? Do you need desk images? Will the grandparents or other be getting a few as gifts?

Do you save the images for future purchases?

In our experience people almost never return to buy photos after the initial viewing. It is our policy to keep on file only the images you liked well enough to purchase. We will keep those images for a minimum of two years.

Do you offer online viewing?

Only in very rare instances do we place images from portrait sessions online. Some of our clients live out of our area and are only in town for their photo session. In cases like this we make the exception and place them online for a very short period. Normally the cost of online purchases is about 15% higher that studio sales. This is because of the cost to us of selling online.

Do you offer framing?

Yes! We offer a wide variety of frames, mats and glass. We can customize anything for you and at very competitive prices.
