Portrait Photography
Our in studio sitting fee is only $100 which is to offset the cost of our time and studio expenses. (Location sessions require a higher sitting fee) A $50 deposit will secure your session appointment with the remainder due at the time the photographs are made. If you are unable to keep your appointment, the deposit can be applied to a subsequent sitting within three months, but cannot be refunded.
Prints from your session will receive minor retouching when necessary. Minor retouching includes blemish removal, soft focus, softening of laugh lines and conversion to black and white or sepia.
Switching heads or faces among people in photos, replacing backgrounds and selective coloring is considered more than minor and will require an additional charge.

Canvas and Fine Art Paper Prints
Canvas prints are printed on highest quality canvas by master printers. Canvas prints can be either mounted on a hard board or stretched and gallery wrapped. As with the canvas, fine art paper prints are heirloom quality.

Maternity and Newborn
We love seeing new mothers-to-be in our studio and we love babies! Free sitting for maternity photos when you purchase Baby's First Year program.
Baby's First year
Have your baby photographed every three months during his first year. There is no sitting fee and you will receive one 8x10 print from each session.
At the end of the year you will receive a large story board print with four images, one from each session so that you can see and remember the progress you child has made in his first year. All for $500. Over $100 in savings than when purchased individually.

Photo Paintings
At BlueMoon Studios we employ the latest technology, combined with artistic skill to transform your portraits into one-of-a-kind paintings. Your photo can be painted stroke-by-stroke rendering a fine art look that very closely resembles a hand-painted oil portrait. Paintings are printed directly on canvas then hand painted over with a clear artist gel to protect them and to add a three dimensional surface. Canvas prints can either be mounted or stretched on artist frames.
Because each photo painting is created by hand and each image varies on complexity it is impossible to give a "blanket" price. We will be happy to quote a price on individual projects.
How to get the most from your photos session.
- Clothing: We recommend solid , pastels or muted colors generally look best in photos. Avoid patterns, sleeveless and v-neck blouses or short sleeve dress shirts. Long or three quarter length sleeves always look best. Jewelry: Wearing jewelry is fine although wristwatches do not look well in photographs.
- Children: Children and infant photo sessions should be scheduled according to the child's schedule. Shortly after nap time or feeding. We want your children to be as happy and relaxed as possible. You may bring any special props you would like in the photos such as favorite toy, flowers, balls, etc.
- Groups: Group photos work best when everyone wears similar colors. Either dark or light, but with no patterns and avoid colors that may cause someone to stand out from others in the photograph.
- Pets: If you are scheduling a photo session for your pet be sure to bring treats. Sometimes it may be good for you walk or play with your pet for a few minutes prior to the session. Please arrive a few minutes early to let your pet get familiar with its new surroundings. You may want to bring your pet's favorite toy along to include in the photo.
Special Prints :
- We offer a variety of specially designed prints customized for you. Please see our Specialty Print page for more information. Pricing for these prints will vary depending on the size and complexity of the print you wish to create. However, a rule-of-thumb we usely is to add $25 to the price of any print size above.
Location shooting:
- We are happy to travel to your location, but we may have an out-of-studio charge depending on how far we must travel.
Restoration:
- Restoration projects are done on a case-by-case basis. Prices begin at $65.00 which includes one 8X10 print. This will cover most simple projects to repair small tears and cracks. We charge nothing for examining your damaged photos and giving you an estimate on what it will cost to restore them to beautiful heirlooms.
