Amy and Matt's Wedding.
June 23, 2009

You guys were so laid back on your wedding day.  Even the leaning and threatening to fall cake didn't rattle you.  In fact we took advantage of some great photo ops there.

Thanks for being one of the best couples we've ever worked with.

Where trains go to die - or find a new life.

We recently had a few photo sessions at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum.  While hanging out between clients I made some cool images of the old trains that just sit and rust in their yard.  Click on the images below to see a gallery of some of the shots.

We had a great time with a couple of good looking guys at the rail yard the other day.

Sunset from Alabama's highest point.
June 13, 2009

A few weeks ago Joy and I took a few days off and rented a cabin atop Mt. Cheaha here in Alabama.  We did a lot of hiking and wading in the pools by the waterfalls.  But our most enjoyable view was from the restaurant's patio each day at sunset.

Storm clouds aren't always a bad thing.

If you know Joy and me, you know we love to take morning walks with our dog, Sophie. (See one of our walks in March or  April) This morning, since school is out we decided to walk the loop around Pelham High School.  We live right next to the school so it's the closest place to walk. Plus the school sits atop one of the highest hills in the county and offers a great view.

This morning the weather was threatening rain, in fact it did rain most of the morning.  But, the clouds were awesome.  Fortunately I keep a little point and shoot camera with me most of the time.  These shots were made with my little Canon PowerShot SD790 IS,

God really is the best artist around.

Michelle and David got married!
June 3, 2009

We had a ball last Friday evening at your wedding even though it rained.  You guys seem very happy together which means you will have a great marriage.  There is an old proverb that says that rain on your wedding day is good luck.  We really had a good time with you guys.

The Morgans

Andrew and Melinda have been good friends for a while.  We actually worked with Melinda's family when we lived in Germany.  She is one of our "nieces" from the mission field.  Andrew grew up in Africa, but is still part of that extended family.  So their kids are now our great nieces and nephew.  They came to the studio the other day to have their photos made.
